Servette team to play Chelsea
(3-5-2): Frick; Rouiller, Bauer, Vouilloz; Diallo, Antunes, Kone, Douline, Burn; Derendinger, Stevanovic
James, who played the full 90 minutes of Chelsea’s 2-1 Premier League win over West Ham on Saturday, is nursing a knee problem.
The England international’s absence is a blow to Chelsea, who are already without a number of other players due to injury.
N’Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Armando Broja are all out, while new signing Kalidou Koulibaly is a doubt with a knock.
Despite their injury problems, Chelsea will be expected to beat Servette, who are ranked 34th in the UEFA club coefficients.
The Swiss side have never reached the group stages of a major European competition, and they will be up against it against a Chelsea team that reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League last season.
The match will be played at Stamford Bridge, and kick-off is at 8pm BST.
