Flash Flood Warnings and Flood Watch Issued for Multiple Counties in North Carolina
Flash Flood Warnings in Effect
The National Weather Service (NWS) in Raleigh has issued a flash flood warning for eastern Cumberland County and northwestern Sampson County, effective through 3:45 AM. A flash flood warning is also in effect for Hoke and Moore counties until 7:30 AM.
Areas Under Flood Watch
The NWS has placed Cumberland, Hoke, Sampson, Wayne, and Scotland counties under a flood watch.
Flood Precautions Urged
Residents in affected areas are urged to take precautions and be aware of the potential for flooding. Heavy rainfall can quickly lead to dangerous conditions. Avoid driving through flooded areas and be prepared to evacuate if necessary.
