Early Life and Education

Born on October 26, 1947, Hillary Diane Rodham Clinton grew up in Park Ridge, Illinois. She attended Wellesley College and Yale Law School, where she met her husband, former President Bill Clinton. After graduating, she worked as a lawyer and legal aid attorney.

Political Career

Clinton entered politics in the 1990s, serving as First Lady of Arkansas from 1980 to 1992. In 2000, she became the first woman to represent a major party as a U.S. Senate candidate in New York. She served as a senator until 2009, when she was appointed Secretary of State by President Barack Obama. She held this position until 2013.

Presidential Candidacy

In 2016, Clinton ran for President of the United States as the Democratic nominee. She lost the election to Republican candidate Donald Trump. After her defeat, she published a memoir titled "What Happened." Clinton has since remained active in politics and continues to advocate for women's rights and other progressive causes.
