Elon Musk's SpaceX Starship Survives Re-Entry into Earth's Atmosphere

SpaceX has a new launch time for today's Starship Flight 4. The launch is now targeted for 8:50 am.
WEB Starship lifted off at 8:50 am ET from SpaceX's Starbase launch site in Boca Chica, Texas.
This was the spacecraft's fourth test flight.

Starship has come a long way since its first orbital test flight in April 2023. That launch saw the mid-air explosion of both parts of the rocket.
The spacecraft is the vehicle selected to land US astronauts on the moon as soon as September 2026. The massive Starship rocket from Elon Musk's SpaceX company took off from the Starbase launch site in Boca Chica, Texas, at 8:50 am ET on Thursday, June 6, 2024.
