M25 to Close for the Second Time This Year as Work on Junction 10 Continues
Five-Mile Stretch to Be Shut for Full Weekend
A section of the M25 in Surrey will be closed this weekend to allow for ongoing improvement works, Highways England has announced. The five-mile (8km) stretch between junctions 14 and 13, including lanes 2, 3, 4, and 5, will be closed in both directions from Friday, March 17, at 8 pm to Monday, March 20, at 6 am.
Diversion Route in Place
A diversion route will be in place via the A322 and A324 for traffic traveling between junctions 13 and 14. Highways England advises motorists to plan their journeys in advance and allow extra time for travel.
The closure is necessary to continue work on the £317m Junction 10 improvement scheme, which aims to improve the flow of traffic and reduce congestion.
