After two years as Mississippi State's defensive coordinator and linebackers coach, Zach Arnett has been promoted to the full-time head coach.
Arnett has been a part of Mike Leach's staff since 2020, and he has helped to turn the Bulldogs defense into one of the most formidable in the country.
But even though he has been successful at Mississippi State, Arnett now faces perhaps the toughest head coaching job in all of college football.
The Bulldogs are coming off a 9-4 season, but they are also losing a number of key players, including quarterback Will Rogers and running back Dillon Johnson.
Arnett will also have to deal with the expectations of a fan base that is eager to see the Bulldogs compete for championships.
But despite the challenges, Arnett is confident that he can lead Mississippi State to success.
